Thanks must go to everyone involved - the organisers, Maggie and her team for the excellent refreshments, Sam & Jackie in the office for dealing with the ticket sales and all those who came and supported.

A fun, family day had by all.

Many thanks to B Company Army Cadets who helped with the organising, laid out an interesting mini assault course and carried out some camouflage face painting.

Thank you to the lady who bought all of the volunteers cakes.

A big thank you to Margery who planned the whole event and made it happen.

PhilipOur next event is on Thursday 6th September at 7.30pm in the Victorian Chapel when Philip Photiou will be giving a talk on "The 1643 Siege of Plymouth" (not the 1683 Siege of Plymouth which the flyer incorrectly announces!!! Our error, not Philip's) .

Philip is a Plymothian and historian who has written several books including "Plymouth's Forgotten War" and "The Wrath of Kings".
