Regular visitors will know the problems we have experienced with Winter Heliotrope and Japanese Knotweed. We have tried more than one eradication program but nature keeps showing us that it has the upper hand!

Our next on-line exhibition will start on Wednesday 1 July and will feature an exhibition that we had on display in 2014, Commercial Plymouth. This includes several of our lost factories and shops so will be a trip down memory lane for many of you.

They maintain the memorial roses to a very high standard so thank you both for all the time, tender love and care you give our roses.

As well as providing a welcoming touch to all our visitors, these roses are available to act as a memorial to a loved one so if there is someone special that you would like to remember, there are a variety of options that we can offer.

If you would like to memorialise a rose in memory of a loved one, please contact the office for further details.

During their visit we were able to offer to them advice and suggestions regarding their recent takeover of their cemetery based on our experiences over the past 19 years.

On Tuesday of this week Rod Pickles, Chairman of the Friends of Ford Park Cemetery plus Maggie Heath and Shirley Stapley visited the Friends of Teignmouth Cemetery.

There was a walk around the cemetery and then discussions over a buffet lunch about how they go about achieving a similar status to that of Ford Park.

They are beginning a journey that the volunteers at Ford Park started almost twenty years ago.

Unfortunately, the Hog Roast arranged for Saturday 15th June 2019 at Ford Park has had to be cancelled.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

20180505 132255 002 1024x768Ford Park Cemetery was delighted to host the Naming Ceremony for the family of little Frankie.

His parents Zoe and Neil with Supporting Adults made their vows to guide, encourage, love and support Frankie throughout his life during the service in the Victorian Chapel conducted by Celebrant Wendy Coulton.

Wendy said: “It was really lovely to see everyone focused on the welfare and future of Frankie who of course was the star of the day. It was my first Naming Ceremony, having conducted celebration of life funerals for the past five years, and Ford Park Cemetery’s chapel is always a very special place for such important events in family and community life.”
