Louies favourites were Brixton as it was in the sun, and Ivybridge American memorial as he liked the helmet. And he couldn't believe how many wreaths on Ashburtons memorial.

The CWGC were also pleased to support Louie and gave him an opportunity to go inside the naval memorial while he was on the Hoe.

Well done Louie, an amazing journey.

128446128 3564937033584151 3847192227555764581 nFord Park Cemetery are pleased to support Louie's War Memorial Challenge. This is what it's all about, as described by Louie's mum and dad:
After watching this year's Annual Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in London, our seven year old son Louie, said that he wanted to do something special to end 2020 after learning that it is the centenary year of the unveiling of the Cenotaph, and the Tomb of the Unkown Warrior.
So we have put our heads together as a family, with Louie coming up with the idea of visiting as many WW1 and WW2 memorials in 8 hours, finishing at Ford Park Cemetery.
This is the resting place of Louie's first world war hero, Lt Reginald Lucy who later died of his wounds in France, after being wounded whilst rescuing a fellow comrade at the battle of Neuve Chapelle.
Lt Lucy is one of only a few british forces personnel who's body was repatriated during the period of WW1. British doctrine at the time stated that all British troops should be laid to rest where they fell.
Ford Park Cemetery is a graveyard in Plymouth with a large amount of first and second world war graves, tended by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, and local volunteers. Louie is an honorary member of the Friends of Ford Park Cemetery, this year marks there 20th Anniversary as a charity who tend to the sprawling site, that is full of historic graves.
Because of the impact of Covid 19 on the ability of the RBL to fundraise, Louie would also like to donate to the Royal British Legion to help them continue with supporting our forces personnel and veteran's who have served our country.

LesleyThe Treadmill Walk raised an amazing £2,000, the money raised will go towards re-instating the Bell Turret in the Victorian Chapel.

Thank you to Sam for letting us use her treadmill and made this event possible.

Lesley one of our volunteers is in the photo.

Thank you to all staff and volunteers who took part in the treadmill walk.

None of this would have been possible without your sponsorship and support -

Thank you.

The Carol Service on Wednesday evening was a great success. All the tickets were sold, and the congregation had the pleasure of listening to the Plymouth Clarion Choir during the service. Afterwards there were favourable comments regarding the new programme format. The printing of a larger font was welcomed by those with less than 20 20 vision! Thank you to all who helped make the evening a success.

Due to popular demand the Carol Service has sold out.
