At 5am this morning 14 hardy souls arrived at the cemetery for our Dawn Chorus event.
Unfortunately, the light wasn’t great for photography but the group were pleased that it stayed dry.
The birds were singing from the start and the chorus grew louder and continued even when it was light at 6am.
The group heard and/or saw 20 species including parakeets and a pheasant.
When the group returned to the Visitor Centre, bacon rolls, prepared by Maggie, were well received. Thanks to Liz Harris for leading the event and Vivien for taking the photos.
